Russian Churches

Dmitriy really likes to paint landscape scenes. This might be a family tradition, his mother is prominent Fedoskino artist-Tatiana Tipyakova, who is also famous by her outstanding landscape scenes.
The scene is painted on shining piece of mothre-of-pearl. We can see the ancient Russian Churches. The scene is framed with a wide gold band.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the piece, except its bottom, is painted with a dark green metallic lacquer while the interior is covered with a gray velvety material. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition and the box rests on four small, rounded gold metal legs. The work is signed with the artist's name and date.
