Winter

Dmitriy really likes to paint landscape scenes. This might comes from his mother- prominent Fedoskino artist-Tatiana Tipyakova, who is also famous by her outstanding landscape scenes.
The scene is painted on shining pearl surface. We can see a small island in the middle of the river. There is a forest in the perspective of the painting. The scene is encompassed with a gold metal frame adorned with floral relief work. The entire scene is painted on a piece of mother-of-pearl that shines with the fire and iridescence of Australian Opal. The trees painted in the foreground shimmer brightly as they are drawn in radiant silver paints.
The scene is framed with a wide gold line. The box's exterior except its bottom is covered with dark blue metallic paint. Its interior is covered with the light gray velvety material.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition and the box rests on four small, rounded gold metal legs. The work is signed with the title "Winter" , date (2011) and the artist's name.
