Here we can see pieceful scene of a cat sit on a porch and town pigeons sit near by.Cat has closed his eyes and might be dreaming, not pay any attention to the birds.
On the background we can see the picturesque view of the Palace Square, which connecting Nevsky Prospekt with Palace Bridge leading to Vasilievsky Island. This is the central city square of St. Petersburg, northern Russian capital. Many significant events took place there, including the Bloody Sunday massacre and parts of the October Revolution of 1917.
The scene is painted with photo-quality precision using bright oils against the dark background.
The scene is framed with gold line; two parallel gold bands wraps around the box's sides.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the name of the artist and the year of 2019.
