The palette of the box is traditional for Kholui style of painting and for depicted by author Summer time, including a lot of green colour.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the piece. Gold ornamentation frames the composition on the lid. The box has a hinge to the top of the composition and rests flat. It is signed with the artist's name, village of Kholui and title-Suzdal.
