Flute player/musician

Yevgeniy Dokuchaev is the talented portrait painter and brilliant lacquer miniature artist. In his works he tries to paint correctly and realistically individual features of his characters, and also to express their psychology and the mood.
Here the artist depicted a man sitting on the chair and practicing in playing on the flute. We can't see his face, but the figure is painted very precise. The furniture and the whole interior of the room tells us that the action is taken place in a very rich house or palace.
The musician is wearing a white costume and mr.Dokuchaev shows us his talent and skills painted the shadows of man's clothes.
The composition is framed with a gold line, as well as another gold line is wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the left of the portrait, and rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name.
