Mushroom time!

This oval box is a stunning creation of one of the top Fedoskino artists , Dmitriy Rogatov. In the foreground the artist has painted the family of mushroomers on the edge of village while in the background the picturesque country landscape is depicted.
The work is drawn in the realistic painting style. The landscape painted in the background is drawn in subdued blue and grey tones, whereas the foregrounf is painted in brown tones.
The scene is framed with a wide gold line.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer was used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes its interior. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on the four legs. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2014.
