Pretty Woman

This marvelous box has been painted by a well-known talented artist Yuliya Danilina from the village of Fedoskino.
The original oil-on-canvas was painted by a famous Russian Artist Konstantin Makovsky and showed his wife Yulia Makovsky.
Danilina paints her works in the original style and likes to depict woman's portraits. This box shows a romantic lady dressed in the elegant clothing that reflects the fashion of the nineteenth century, sit on an old arm-chair. The lady is painted on the contrast of red and yellow colors. Details of cloths are just amazing. The face is stunning! 
The sides and the bottom of exterior are covered with an oil mixture of red and brown colors, that looks like a stone .
The box is constructed out of pressed paper. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the year of 1999.
