This splendid set of nesting dolls has been made in the ancient Russian town of Sergiev Posad by the talented master Listunov O. The work is dedicated to the recognizable symbols of Moscow and Russia, such as the Moscow Kremlin and its world-famous buildings, and the coat-of-arm of Russian Federation.
The first egg shows the St. Basil's Cathedral that is the gem of ancient Russian architecture. It was built by order of Ivan the Terrible in 1561 to commemorate to the victory over Kazan and Astrakhan Khanate. According to the legend Ivan the Terrible ordered to blind the architects who designed this magnificent building so they could never construct such a masterpiece again. At the top of the scene the master wrote the name of this building
