Talented artist Galina Kuzmenko from the village of Palekh has painted this scene on a brooch with a Flying Carpet.
It features an episode from the fairy-tale "Ivan Tsarevich and the Firebird". Here we can see Ivan Tsarevich flying on the magic carpet with Princess Elena. In his hand he is holding a cage with the Firebird in it. He intends to fulfill the last errand given him by the old tsar; he must find the beautiful Princess Elena, and bring her to the tsar.
Gold paint is used to detail the characters' costumes and carpet, clouds and the Moon.
The scene is framed with a golden dots.
The brooch is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers both sides of a brooch. The brooch can be attached to your clothing with a pin.
