Winter Landscape

Daughter of the famous Fedoskino landscape painter, Vladimir Serdodetskov, Ekaterina has painted this Winter landscape. On this box she has drawn a peaceful winter landscape scene , where on the background we can find a small village.
The palette used by the artist is a reflection for the time of year depicted here. White, blye and gray tones make up the majority of the colors.
The edge of the lid is decorated with a well-detailed ornament as well the sides of the box are decorated with gold and silver ornament too.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The box's exterior bottom is covered with black lacquer while the interior is covered with red lacquer. The box has a hinge above the scene and rests on the four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, date and the village of Fedoskino.
