Matrioshka

This set of nesting dolls is the production of Sergiev Posad Art School. It was created by the famous artist, Irina Solovyova. The set includes five dolls. Each of them shows attractive girls wearing kerchiefs and sarafans; on some of the dolls this image is enriched by the images of happy children wearing festive clothes, toys, charming kittens, puppies and rabbits. The costumes of the characters are skillfully painted using various color combination and decorated with gold and silver powders, and also with shimmering red, green and silver spangles. The biggest doll is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2002, Russia and her personal emblem. The other dolls are signed only with the year of 2002 and the artist's personal emblem.
