Anokhin's otherworldly style and subtle palette are easily recognizable. The palette includes blue and brown tones.
Brilliant gold paint is used to highlight the details of the painting: the net and the wings of the fishes and the hills on the right side of the composition.
On the sides of the box we can see the parts of the fishing nets painted in gold.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Dark blue lacquer covers the exterior and creamy white lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the composition, and rests on four silver look legs. Metal round button is glued on the side of the lid for the easy openning the box.
The work is titled and signed with the artist's name.
