Early Morning Fishing

This peaceful landscape has been painted by Evgeniy Shishkin. The artist is enchanted with the beauty of Russian countryside. It's a summer morning. The sky glows with the fire of the sunrise. The silver morning haze start rising over the fresh fields, water of the river and meadows. Two people in the center of the composition will sit in a small boat and will go fishing very soon...
The scene is painted in blue oils over lustrous gold paint that helps to create a sparkle of the sunrise, its reflection in the river.
Gold line is used to frame the scene, while the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2015.
