The Watch repaiper

Portraiture the artist specializes in is the most difficult genre in art, and especially in lacquer miniature art. Each talented portrait painter is a good physiologist who knows how to express people's emotions, mood and inner life. The artist is also skilled and experienced in painting technique as it is a very complicated task to reproduce realistically a visual appearance of a person.
Here the artist has chosen to paint the watch master at his work. Various instruments for repairing watches and clocks are scattered on the table, and each of them is painstakingly painted with a lot of details.
The painting is framed with a gold line. Two parallel gold lines can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the scene, and the box rests flat. The box is signed with the artist's name.
