Girlfriends

The scene shows two young girls at the village fence. Their faces are turned to us and feels like they just finished the conversation with us. It is a nice frost winter day, the snow is all around...The girls faces got pink from the cold...Girls stand near a Rowan tree, whose berries are so loved by birds that come to Russia in winter.
Creamy white tone has been also chosen to cover the box's exterior while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, the year of 2016 and the village of Fedoskino in brown oils.
